This Privacy Policy describes how Dale Slear (“I,” “me,” or “we”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit daleslear.com and www.daleslear.com (the “Site”).
The Site is a personal website. It does not require an account and does not include checkout, newsletter signup, or an advertising network.

If you contact me by email at dale@daleslear.com or another method listed on the Site, I receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, and message. The Site itself does not include a contact form or account registration.

When you visit the Site, standard technical information may be processed by the hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare), such as:

- Browser type and user agent
- Pages requested, date, and time
- Referrer URL
- Approximate location derived from IP, as processed by the CDN
I do not run first-party analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies on this Site.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
This Site does not set first-party cookies for advertising or analytics.
Third-party embeds you choose to play — including YouTube videos and Internet Archive games — may set their own cookies or collect data under those providers’ policies.
Cloudflare may use cookies or similar technologies as part of providing hosting, security, and performance.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Operate, secure, and maintain the Site
- Diagnose errors and prevent abuse
- Respond to messages you send
- Comply with applicable law
How We Share Information
I do not sell your personal information.
Information may be processed by service providers that help operate the Site, including:
- Cloudflare, for hosting, content delivery, and security
- YouTube / Google, if you play an embedded video
- Internet Archive, if you launch an embedded game
Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. I may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the Site.
Data Retention
Server and security logs are retained only as long as needed for operation, security, and legal compliance, subject to the hosting provider’s practices. Email you send is retained as long as needed to correspond with you and keep ordinary records.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information I hold about you. To make a request, email dale@daleslear.com.
You can avoid third-party embed collection by not playing videos or games on the Site.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is a general-audience personal website and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International Visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from another country, your information may be processed in the United States.
Changes
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when I do.
